Ascot Group CEO Andrew Scott was the keynote speaker for an exclusive webinar hosted by the UK’s largest aluminium in building trade association.
The Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB)’s CEO Justin Ratcliffe asked Andrew to discuss recovery in the fenestration sector with its members and he followed Tom Hall, Chief Economist of Barbour ABI, and Professor Noble Francis from the Construction products Association (CPA).
Using stats from the Ascot Group stable of companies, including the award-winning specialist data supplier Insight Data and leading full-service marketing agency Purplex, Andrew provided an overview of the fabricator and installer market before taking a closer look at the retail market.
He was able to provide some positivity, with the number of aluminium fabricators increasing significantly in the last few years.
He also revealed that interest from consumers was at an all-time high in May, despite the impact of the coronavirus, due to impressive volumes of online searches and a significant increase in sales ready leads, with Purplex passing a record 10,000 consumer leads in May.
Andrew said: “I was delighted to be the keynote speaker for CAB’s latest webinar and lend my support to what was an excellent online event. With lockdown relaxing, the recovery period starts now, and the signs are positive that the retail market is starting to bounce back.”
Justin commented: “On behalf of CAB I’d like to thank all the presenters. It was great to have Andrew as our keynote speaker and members appreciated the up-to-the-minute information and market data that he was able to share.”
